This session supports practitioners and leaders to strengthen day-to-day safeguarding practice through a focus on quality, accountability and reflective decision-making.

The session explores what quality safeguarding looks like in practice, including quality case plans, family time planning, cultural consultations, documentation standards and meaningful due dates. Participants are supported to apply the Quality Assurance Framework, consider measures of wellbeing, and reflect on their role in maintaining safe, accountable practice for children and young people.
Using practical activities, discussion and coaching-based facilitation, the session supports participants to translate policy and statutory requirements into clear, consistent and defensible practice, while building confidence to navigate complex situations and difficult conversations.
