Our delivery of the strategy is underpinned by consultation, communications, and evaluation. We enact these through our 5 key approaches:

Quality evidence-based resources and training

  • Evidence-based literature and research informs resources and training development
  • Subject Matter Experts assist in developing and delivering resources and training
  • Quality reviews built into the development process
  • Department of Communities and Justice reviews all factsheets prior to publishing

  • Sector consultation confirms needs and identifies priorities
  • PSP Learning Hub Sector Workforce Development and Training Strategy consolidates findings, sets the goals, and maps the plan

Professional communities-shared learning

  • PSP District implementation meetings (RIGs/DIGs etc) help us to strategically align our activities with needs, promote, and continuously improve our resources and training
  • Working groups bring an authentic practice voice to content development and learning activities for each practice area Representation draws from Department of Communities and Justice, Peaks, Aboriginal/non-Aboriginal, multicultural, and large/small service providers
  • Forums build our understanding of concerns and views, which we feed back into our resources and training
  • Website resources and shared learning build on understanding, strengthen capability and allow for focused discussion on district specific PSP implementation

On-going collaboration and evaluation

  • One-on-one catch ups aligns and recalibrates our direction with input from PSP service provider key contacts
  • PSP Learning Hub Social Media promotes our and other PSP activities through targeted campaigns
  • PSP Learning Hub Newsletter connects the PSP community with sector-wide updates, research, upcoming events and, distils feedback on the PSP Learning Hub activities.
  • PSP Learning Hub Dashboard reports on user interactions and satisfaction
  • Surveys gain sector input and perceptions on PSP Learning Hub activities
  • Project Evaluation transparently assesses implemented and shifts in sector knowledge, skills and confidence

Risk management – removing barriers

  • PSP Learning Hub Advisory Board provides project governance, giving direction and advice on high impact issues and risk resolution
  • Telephone advisory service supports greater integration, connecting PSP casework staff with the appropriate services and supports
  • Website NSW map shows contact details of the CSCs and PSP service providers
  • Training calendar displays links to other Department of Communities and Justice sponsored training as well as PSP Learning Hub training
